Stone Flower carpet at Alor Beach
Geographically, Alor Regency has a long coastline that reaches 669.64 km2. Of coastline that we can explore in Alor District, we can find many different types of beaches from one to another, there are various kinds of sand that can be found. Like the black sand, white sand, sand gravel and sand is also composed of rocks.
We found the sand rock is commonly called by residents about the Stone Flower or Stone Carpet of flowers adorned the stone a few beaches on the island of Alor, and stone flowers are often taken or collected by the local population as a livelihood. And maybe we enjoy as a decorative ornament misconstrued one corner of our house in Jakarta.
But the most extraordinary, some locals told me that how many stones taken flowers year after year but never finished and always increasing. And this is a gift that is extraordinary for the people around.
